Beginning in 2013, Integrated Language Arts students helped to staff writing centers in four area high schools: Kent Roosevelt, Aurora, Tallmadge, and Stow. At these writing centers, our INLA students tutored high school writers who needed help with their writing.
Pre-service English teachers in the integrated language arts program at KSU volunteered at an anti-bullying event held at the Akron Public Library in June of 2013. The pre-service teachers helped set up, check in participants, register participants, provide CEU documentation, distribute surveys, distribute evaluations, and clean up.

Four INLA students accompanied Dr. Kist to the National Council of Teachers of English Conference held in Orlando, November 19-21, 2010. Dr. Kist and the students presented their Facebook project.
