Andy Baskin is the Sport Director for NewsChannel 5. He joined the NewsChannel5 team in 2008. Prior to working for NewsChannel5, Baskin previously worked for WKYC-TV, STO-TV, FOX SPORTS Ohio, WBNS-TV, EBNS_AM, ThisWeek Newspapers, KPAX-TV, KGVO-AM, WRRO-AM, WAKC-TV, WRQC-FM, ABC-CBS TV Networks and ESPN.
Baskin volunteers for Cystic Fibrosis, Diabetes Association and the Great Cleveland Lung Association. He is also co-chair for the Bruce Baskin Cystic Fibrosis Golf Classic at Firestone Country Club and has hosted the Lung Association Buckeye State Tailgate.
In addition to receiving the Distinguished Citizen Award, Baskin has won two Emmy awards, was named to the Broadcasters Hall of Fame and won the Lifebanc Gift of Life Award.
