Assessment
Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) offers assessment and psychological testing services for eligible students. This type of assessment can help students gain a deeper understanding of themselves through the use of psychological tests.
A comprehensive assessment can help answer questions such as:
- Why is it so hard to concentrate?
- Do I have problems with my memory?
- Why am I having trouble learning and struggling in certain classes?
- Why does it take me so long to get my coursework done?
Psychological testing is available for ADD/ADHD, learning disorders, cognitive functioning (e.g., intelligence, memory, executive functioning), personality, and substance use concerns. When clinically appropriate, testing can also help clarify a mental health diagnosis and set targeted treatment goals.
To discuss whether testing would be an option for you, schedule a consultation with one of our assessment team members. Testing is often covered by insurance, but self-pay rates are available as well.
