KSUCPM’s newest faculty members are out and about getting to know the community! Recently, Drs. Nick Butler and Jacqueline Donovan served Independence residents with foot screenings to help detect, prevent and manage problems early in order to avert more serious complications.
The screenings come with a newly evolved relationship with The City of Independence Civic Center and kicked off with a visit to the center this July. Third year students had the opportunity to tag along and treat the senior citizens to begin a larger treatment plan at KSUCPM’s Cleveland Foot & Ankle Clinic (CFAC). The partnership will continue throughout the year with a goal for a monthly shuttle to bring seniors to CFAC locations for continuous, quality care with students and physicians.
