Dr. Bruna Mussoi
Biography
I joined the KSU Speech Pathology and Audiology Program in Fall 2017. I earned my Ph.D in Speech and Hearing Science and my clinical doctorate of Audiology at the University of Iowa. Prior to my doctoral studies, I worked as a clinical audiologist, when I developed a passion for working with older adults. I am interested in studying the factors that impact age-related changes in the auditory system, specifically as they relate to speech perception difficulties. I combine electrophysiological and behavioral methods to address the relative contributions of peripheral, central, and cognitive mechanisms to changes in speech perception in the elderly.
