СƬƵ's Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost Todd Diacon has announced that Susan Perry has been named assistant provost for accreditation, assessment and learning.
Perry will oversee the Office of Accreditation, Assessment and Learning, which has the responsibility of directing the university's assessment process and for coordinating, planning and implementing strategies for assessment of major fields of study, general education and academic programs. The Office of Accreditation, Assessment and Learning serves as the primary liaison to the university's regional accrediting body, the Higher Learning Commission, and coordinates and interprets universitywide assessments that address such issues as student learning outcomes, student engagement and faculty and staff experiences.
Perry served for the past five years as the university director of outcome assessment at Case Western Reserve University and previously as the director of assessment and institutional research at Baldwin Wallace University. She has taught graduate leadership in higher education programs and served as a research associate on federally funded grants.
“We are fortunate to have Susan Perry lead our outstanding team in the Office of Accreditation, Assessment and Learning,” Diacon says. “She brings great experiences in leadership in this area, as well as expertise and deep understanding of higher education assessment and accreditation. It gives me great pleasure to welcome Susan to this position."
Perry earned her Ph.D. in experimental psychology at the University of Tennessee, her M.A. in experimental psychology from СƬƵ and her B.A. in psychology with a music minor from King University.
