There are many misconceptions about food allergies. In fact, most people suffer from food intolerances not allergies or from inappropriate pairings of foods that can cause the illusion of an allergy.
On Thursday, Aug. 16, from 5:30-6:30 p.m., we will sort it all out and cover the following topics:
- Lactose intolerance.
- Lactose allergy.
- Casein intolerance.
- Gluten intolerance.
- Gluten allergy (Celiac disease).
- Combination foods and how to treat each one.
The presenter will be Tanya R. Falcone, M.S., RD, LD, coordinator for С»ÆƬÊÓƵ’s Center of Nutrition Outreach in the School of Health Sciences. This session will be held in the Student Recreation and Wellness Center, Seminar Room B and is open to students and all full- and part-time faculty and staff. Space is limited and .
