Danny Lyon examines his history as staff photographer for SNCC, the group of young activists that broke the back of Jim Crow in the early 1960s. This documentary features audio and photographs made inside the churches and mass meetings in the deep south at the height of the struggle, a work of extreme realism, that brings the viewer inside the revolutionary moments of 1963. The film features the final interviews of John Lewis and Julian Bond.
