Students and staff of Student Media’s advertising staff traveled to San Diego last week for the annual College Newspaper Business and Advertising Managers convention.
This year was the 41st National CNBAM convention. Students and staff spent time in sessions focusing on new digital concepts, social media, design and the changing look of college student media departments.
The students participated in the student media competition and placed third in the nation for the Best Print Ad Campaign. Student Sales Manager Paul Gimmel finished fourth in the nation for Best Sales Manager.
The convention also elected its Executive Board positions for 2014. Tami Bongiorni, Advertising Manager for Student Media, was elected VP of Convention Planning for the Board. In her position she will plan the 2014 CNBAM Convention, which will take place in Austin, Texas.
