
С»ÆƬÊÓƵ’s Student Life Study reached the milestone of having 2,000 students participating! The co-directors of the study, John Gunstad, Ph.D. and Karin Coifman, Ph.D., who are both professors in the Department of Psychological Studies, were also recently awarded a $500,000 state grant for mental health research, treatment and intervention to help support the study. The Student Life Study began in August 2023, and the goal is to include 10,000 student participants. One aim of the study is to connect all aspects of college life, including mental and physical health, social belonging, academic and career success, and more, to improve students’ lives while they are at С»ÆƬÊÓƵ and when they move on. The study will also generate date that will help inform decision-making for university administrators, legislators and others who make educational policies and decisions that affect college students.
