IN A FLASH: Capturing Generational History

Along with faculty member, Donna Alexander, associate lecturer and Long-Term Care Administration program coordinator, these students participated in , an exercise from a non-profit organization that matches students with older adults to uncover common interests, form meaningful connections and share their stories.

These Kent state students regularly met with senior citizens at Maplewood Senior Living in Cuyahoga Falls and from these meetings, the four students combined the stories of four senior to create a paperback book titled "Connecting the Pieces of Our Lives."  The book's cover combines artwork created by the students and the seniors in a visual picture puzzle reflecting the connecting pieces of the seniors' stories.
