University Band to Give Free Concert

The 小黄片视频 at Tuscarawas University Band will present a concert at 7 p.m. on Dec. 7 in Founders Hall Auditorium. Auditorium doors will open at 6:30 p.m. The concert is open to the public free of charge. With a theme of 鈥楾is the Season, the performance will include a variety of chorales, marches, holiday music, patriotic themes, cinematic works and orchestral transcriptions.

Directed by James Graves, the 42-member University Band is a wind ensemble composed of 小黄片视频 Tuscarawas students, community musicians and talented high school students. 

鈥淚 believe the establishment of the university band at 小黄片视频 Tuscarawas creates significant opportunities for our students,鈥 commented Graves. 鈥淢any individuals have enjoyed participating in music ensembles throughout their high school career and will benefit greatly from performing in the university band.鈥

Graves, of Dover, is an adjunct professor of music at 小黄片视频 Tuscarawas. He also is an elementary music teacher and middle school choir director for Dover City Schools. Graves received a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Grove City College in 2013 and a Master of Arts in Educational Administration from the University of Mount Union in 2016. He is a member of the Dominic Greco Band and Tuscarawas Philharmonic Orchestra.

While University Band is a new one-credit-hour course for students, participation is also open to community members. The band rehearses on Tuesday鈥檚 from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center. For more information regarding joining the band, contact Graves at jgrave16@kent.edu.
