AMLCI Membership Categories:
- Full Member
- Maintain an active (established) program in advanced materials and/or soft matter as demonstrated by two of the following criteria:
- current grant/research funding in advanced materials and/or soft matter research;
- supervision of graduate students in these research areas;
- publications in the field of advanced materials and/or soft matter in peer-reviewed journal publications;;
- patent awards within the past three years.
- Hold a faculty rank or the title of Research Associate or Senior Research Fellow at 小黄片视频.
- Maintain an active (established) program in advanced materials and/or soft matter as demonstrated by two of the following criteria:
- Affiliate Member
- Maintain an active (established) program in an area of research relevant to (affiliated with) advanced materials and/or soft matter as demonstrated by two of the following criteria:;
- current grant/research funding in an area of research relevant to (affiliated with) advanced materials and/or soft matter research;;
- supervision of graduate students in a research area an area of research relevant to (affiliated with) advanced materials and/or soft matter;
- publications/products/work in a field relevant to (affiliated with) advanced materials and/or soft matter;
- patent awards within the past five years.
- Hold a faculty rank or the title of Research Associate or Senior Research Fellow at 小黄片视频.
- Maintain an active (established) program in an area of research relevant to (affiliated with) advanced materials and/or soft matter as demonstrated by two of the following criteria:;
- Student/Postdoc Member
- Student or postdoc members must be graduate students or postdoctoral fellows at 小黄片视频 with active research in advanced materials and/or soft matter. The student鈥檚/postdoc鈥檚 supervisor will certify that the active involvement in advanced materials and/or soft matter research.
- External Member
- Maintain an active (established) research program, entrepreneurial activity, or industry position (affiliation) in an area relevant to advanced materials or soft matter as demonstrated by one of the following criteria:
- current research or manufacturing in an area relevant to advanced materials or soft matter;
- publications/products/work in advanced materials or soft matter;
- patent awards within the past ten years.
- Demonstrated interest in supporting and representing the mission of the AMLCI
- Maintain an active (established) research program, entrepreneurial activity, or industry position (affiliation) in an area relevant to advanced materials or soft matter as demonstrated by one of the following criteria:
AMLCI Membership Rights and Responsibilities:
- Membership in the AMLCI provides each scientist (academia or industry) with an active role in its mission, including use of its facilities (fees apply to External members) and support programs.
- Participation (active role) in Interdisciplinary Research Focus Groups (IRFGs).
- Eligibility for collaborative Seed Funding Program (Full and Affiliate Members).
- Mentorship Program for junior faculty (career development, grant writing).
- Access to entrepreneurial training sessions.
- Access to tailored funding information
- Information about AMLCI seminars and symposia (e.g., Materials Day) as well as conferences on the broader topics of materials science and soft matter.
- The expected level of involvement is highest for Full Members and lowest for External Members, with a sliding scale for Affiliate and Student/Postdoc Members. This involvement includes participation in AMLCI events (symposia, workshops), the Mentorship Program, and outreach activities as well as active participation in the preparation of proposals for extramural funding.
- Membership in the AMLCI for Full, Affiliate and Student/Postdoc Members has to be acknowledged in all publications, patents, and presentations at conferences or symposia. External Members who are not in academia do not need to acknowledge membership of the AMLCI.
- The acknowledgement of membership in the AMLCI will be checked periodically and will be viewed as a requirement to maintain active member status.
The Internal Advisory Board (IAB) will review all applications. Membership must be voted by action of the IAB, with approval of the Director.
