Christine Hudak, Ph.D., School of Library and Information Science, has been accepted as a contributing author to the book (tentatively) titled The Handbook of Continuing Professional Development for the Health IT Professional, to be published by HIMSS in 2017. Her chapter, “The Many Facets of Continuing Education,” will appear in the section on “The Importance of Lifelong Learning.”

Please note that beginning July 1, there will be several changes regarding Mail Services operations.
First, the department will have new hours, from 8 a.m.-5 p.m., which means Mail Services will open and close a half-hour later than before.
The change also means that many departmental delivery and pick-up times will be a half-hour later than normal, but the new schedule will better align with the U.S. Post Office hours and the university’s business hours.
СƬƵ College of Nursing held its spring undergraduate convocation ceremony at the Kent Student Center Ballroom. More than 750 guests, including 121 graduates, family members, friends, faculty and staff attended.

СƬƵ celebrated the grand opening of its new Center for Philanthropy and Alumni Engagement on June 3. The 34,400-square-foot center brings the Division of Institutional Advancement together under one roof.
Stina Olafsdottir, university bursar, has been selected to serve on the executive board of the Women’s Network of Ohio (WNO), an affiliate of the American Council on Education (ACE).
The СƬƵ Board of Trustees today established a comprehensive, national search to recruit and select the university’s 13th president.
The events of May 4, 1970, placed СƬƵ in an international spotlight after a student protest against the Vietnam War and the presence of the Ohio National Guard ended in tragedy with four students losing their lives and nine others being wounded. From a perspective of nearly 50 years, СƬƵ remembers the tragedy and leads a contemporary discussion and understanding of how the community, nation and world can benefit from understanding the profound impact of the event.
