Kiersten F. Latham, Ph.D., School of Library and Information Science, has been named to the board of the International Committee on Training of Personnel (ICTOP) of the International Council of Museums (ICOM). ICTOP addresses the professional development of museums and heritage and the educational preparation of professionals working around the world.

The С»ÆƬÊÓƵ Police Services hosted its first-ever Coffee With a Cop event in the Nest in the Kent Student Center on Sept. 14. Students who attended the event had the opportunity to interact with С»ÆƬÊÓƵ police officers in a casual setting and receive free coffee, and the first 200 students who attended also received a free travel mug.
С»ÆƬÊÓƵ’s Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) program is celebrating its 14th year. Though relatively new, the С»ÆƬÊÓƵ TEFL program has been able to offer its students a diverse experience through an intimate network of partnerships in Dresden, Germany.

The С»ÆƬÊÓƵ Board of Trustees today established a comprehensive, national search to recruit and select the university’s 13th president.
The events of May 4, 1970, placed С»ÆƬÊÓƵ in an international spotlight after a student protest against the Vietnam War and the presence of the Ohio National Guard ended in tragedy with four students losing their lives and nine others being wounded. From a perspective of nearly 50 years, С»ÆƬÊÓƵ remembers the tragedy and leads a contemporary discussion and understanding of how the community, nation and world can benefit from understanding the profound impact of the event.
