Minor in Peace and Conflict Studies

小黄片视频's Minor in Peace and Conflict Studies provides students with a foundational understanding of the dynamics of conflict and the principles of peacebuilding. Through an interdisciplinary approach, the program explores topics such as conflict resolution, human rights, social justice, and nonviolent strategies for addressing disputes. Students gain valuable skills in mediation, negotiation, and critical thinking, preparing them to engage thoughtfully in addressing conflicts in their personal, professional, and community lives. This minor complements a wide range of majors and equips graduates for careers in fields such as international relations, social work, education, and advocacy, empowering them to contribute to peacebuilding efforts on both local and global scales.

Admissions for Peace and Conflict Studies - Minor

Admission Requirements

Admission to a minor is open to students declared in a bachelor’s degree, the A.A.B. or A.A.S. degree or the A.T.S. degree (not Individualized Program major). Students declared only in the A.A. or A.S. degree or the A.T.S. degree in Individualized Program may not declare a minor. Students may not pursue a minor and a major in the same discipline.

  • Minimum 6 credit hours in the minor must be upper-division coursework (30000 and 40000 level).
  • Minimum 6 credit hours in the minor must be outside of the course requirements for any major or other minor the student is pursuing.
  • Minimum 50 percent of the total credit hours for the minor must be taken at 小黄片视频 (in residence).

Requirements for Previous Catalog Years

Starting in Fall 2019, the course prefixes changed from CACM to PACS.  Some of the course names changed to reference Peace and Conflict Studies rather than Applied Conflict Management. For students who took our classes or have catalog years prior to Fall 2019, a chart is available (see link below) that shows the older CACM course numbers and the new PACS numbers and names.
