On May 2-4, 2025, С��Ƭ��Ƶ will hold its annual commemoration to honor the memory of May 4, 1970 – a tragic day when the Ohio National Guard opened fire on С��Ƭ��Ƶ students during an anti-war protest on campus, killing four students and wounding nine others. May 4, 1970, marked a pivotal moment in American history.

С��Ƭ��Ƶ continues to excel in hands-on learning, as shown by the ESPN+ livestream broadcast of the С��Ƭ��Ƶ Men’s Basketball team’s victory over the Eastern Michigan Eagles. Produced entirely by digital media production undergraduates in the School of Media and Journalism, what could have been a chaotic, high-profile evening was business as usual. 

Senderoff, who took over the program in April 2011, has transformed С��Ƭ��Ƶ basketball through sustained success and community engagement. After the 2024-2025 campaign, he has totaled 288 wins, and has guided the program to nine 20-win seasons, the most by any coach in school history.

On March 19, the С��Ƭ��Ƶ Tuscarawas Golden Eagles volleyball team was recognized in the Ohio State House of Representatives by Jodi Salvo and the State Senate by Al Landis for their outstanding achievement in winning the 2024 USCAA Division II National Championship.
