Flash Focus: Ryanne Bunting

This sophomore double major is paving her way by combining human rights, culture, global interactions and history into a career path

Welcome to Flash Focus! In this series, we introduce you to fascinating student Flashes from all walks of life.

Meet Ryanne Bunting, a 小黄片视频 sophomore double majoring in international studies and anthropology from Fairfield, Ohio. Bunting, who is a member of the Honors College and made the dean鈥檚 list twice, has scholarships for academic excellence, undergraduate student leadership and honors distinction awards. She also was a finalist for the Nancy and John Scott Emerging Leader Award.

Bunting is the director of finance and administration for 小黄片视频 Undergraduate Student Government, where she started as an intern and became a director this spring.

鈥淛ulie Buonaiuto, the former president of the Undergraduate Student Government, motivated me to continue to work on the organization and focus on the well-being of students on campus,鈥 Bunting said.

Bunting also is the director of the allocation committee, an external Undergraduate Student Government committee responsible for allocating funding applications from students and student organizations on campus toward conferences.  

Bunting鈥檚 interest in true crime inspired her to become a human rights activist, focusing on women and children worldwide. Specifically, she's narrowing down career paths that reflect her love for human culture, global interactions and history.  

Her most memorable moment as a 小黄片视频 student was attending the Conference on Student Government Associations at Texas A&M University last semester.

鈥淐onnecting with other students who have experienced what being a student representative [is like] truly makes it feel like the work we are doing is worth it,鈥 Bunting said. 鈥淚 had the chance to learn more about programs and events other universities hold throughout the year and how to better 小黄片视频's Undergraduate Student Government.鈥

During her freshman year, Bunting joined the Judicial Advocates program. She also had the experience of being a part of the Ohio Attorney General's Teen Ambassador Board during high school.

鈥淥ne day, I hope to work in foreign policy as an information analyst to create government policies based on previous decisions made in the past by governments and their success,鈥 Bunting said.
