One of the things students in the Radiology program at С»ÆƬÊÓƵ at Salem learn is how to position patients and equipment in order to capture the best images. While the x-ray equipment is real, for safety reasons, students do not capture images during these training demonstrations.
The Associate of Applied Science in Radiologic Technology (RADT) degree and the Bachelor of Radiologic and Imaging Sciences (BRIT) degree offer concentrations in Computed Tomography (CT), Diagnostic Medical Sonography (DMS), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)and Radiation Therapy (RTH).
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment of radiologic technologists is projected to grow 13 percent through 2026-faster than the average for all occupations.
