Christa Porter, Ph.D., was awarded the Review of Research Award by the American Education Research Association (AERA) for her research article, “Understanding Influences of Development on Black Women’s Success in U.S. Colleges: A Synthesis of Literature." 

 The Roe Green Foundation donated $2.2 million to support The Roe Green Visiting Director Series within С»ÆƬÊÓƵ’s School of Theatre and Dance that invites a guest professional director each year to work in residency with students.

George R. Newkome, Ph.D., and his wife, Mary Jane Saunders, Ph.D., pledged $1 million to fund this first-ever professorship in materials science in С»ÆƬÊÓƵ’s College of Arts and Sciences. Dr. Newkome is a two-time С»ÆƬÊÓƵ alumnus.
