COF-CS Scholarship Application
Choose Ohio First "21st Century Computer Science Workplace in Ohio" program will annually provide a number of undergraduate tuition scholarships for Computer Science majors.
Funding decisions will be made based on a combination of merit and financial need. The scholarships will be awarded to promising incoming Computer Science students. The scholarships were made possible by a grant from Ohio Department of Higher Education.
Scholarship Obligations
Student recipient of a Choose Ohio First Scholarship are required to remain in good academic standing within their CS major with a GPA of at least 3.0 progressing toward completing their degree in four years and participate in Choose Ohio First Scholarship Program's social and mentoring activities, including working on a project, internship and presenting at a poster session.
Student will participate in additional special research programs. Each of the scholars will receive junior researcher experience by rotating into computer science research labs working alongside active researchers in the field.
Eligibility
You must be highly motivated to pursue Computer Science career. The scholarship is open to incoming freshman joining С»ÆƬÊÓƵ who intend to pursue Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science, or non-freshman transfer students from other schools, or current С»ÆƬÊÓƵ students from other programs who wish to pursue dual major in Computer Science (or switch to). Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident; and an Ohio resident. You must be admitted to С»ÆƬÊÓƵ, the usual university admission criteria applies. GPA and ACT Scores (Equivalent SAT Score) will be evaluated as well.

Eligible applicants will be contacted via email for an interview as part of the evaluation process for COF-CS.
While KSU is currently test-optional, ACT/SAT score still weighs highly for scholarship review.
The deadline for submitting an application is ongoing. If you are already a CS-COF scholar, please do not reapply, you will be automatically considered for a renewal.
