We all encounter daily stressors – traffic, work deadlines and family obligations are just a few. Sometimes it feels like we can’t escape the stressors around us. On Thursday, Feb. 16, from 10-11 a.m., the first of a three-part webinar series, , will help you become more aware of when you are feeling stressed and provide some easy techniques and strategies on how to cope with stress in your life and its effect on your body. You also will learn how to decrease stress levels by understanding how you currently think about your problems.
During , we will dive deeper into understanding stress and discuss why there is a need to have stress in our lives, good and bad types of stress and counter-productive coping strategies. We will discuss how to find the motivation to change and the stages of change to help you be more successful in managing your stress.
In , we will learn how to form an action plan and become solution-focused in tackling stress. Finally, we will discuss how to make stress management a part of daily life by building time-management skills.
Each session will be presented by Lisa Kirby, MFT, PC. Kirby is dually licensed as a marriage-and-family therapist and professional counselor. She is currently an account manager with IMPACT Solutions Employee Assistance Program (EAP), one of СƬƵ’s employee-wellness partners. Whether training or working with a client in a clinical setting, Kirby’s goal is to provide practical, solution-focused strategies for life’s issues that virtually anyone can apply with success.
