С»ÆƬÊÓƵ

All are invited to pay tribute to those who have served in the United States Armed Forces. A special invitation is extended to С»ÆƬÊÓƵ faculty, staff, students and community members who are veterans, active service members, or who have family members in the military. The program, Honoring All Those Who Serve, will take place on Friday, Nov. 8, at 11 a.m. on the Student Green at Risman Plaza. Streaming is also available if you can't attend in person.

  • С»ÆƬÊÓƵ's holiday closure for 2024 will begin Monday, Dec. 23, 2024, at 10:30 p.m. All offices will re-open on Thursday, Jan. 2, 2025. Employees not eligible for the paid leave include student employees, classified temporary staff, temporary agency staff, short-term unclassified appointments, unclassified intermittent appointments and employees in a lay-off status. More information on the holiday schedule, including how employees should report time during that period, will be available later this month.

  • Please join us for the I AM FIRST week of celebration, Nov. 4-8. Virtual and in-person programs will be held across the С»ÆƬÊÓƵ system to honor and celebrate students who will be the first in their family to earn a bachelor's degree. In addition to recognizing first-generation students, we celebrate staff, faculty and advocates for their accomplishments and support of the First-generation student journey. Visit the I AM FIRST website to see a complete list of programs at the Kent and regional campuses.

  • This Giving Tuesday season, your giving is more than a donation — it’s the start of a ripple effect that drives change. From Nov. 1 through Giving Tuesday (Dec. 3), your gift goes further with special giving incentives throughout the month. Give to the cause that matters most to you and make an impact that goes far beyond С»ÆƬÊÓƵ.

  • Join us for the final session in this semester’s Dialogue and Difference series. On Nov. 7 at 4 p.m., we will process the impacts of the presidential election. Whether the votes are still being counted or a winner has been projected, we have witnessed strong feelings and attitudes expressed during this campaign cycle. The election represents many different values to members of the С»ÆƬÊÓƵ community. This discussion will allow community members to process the election in addition to providing wellness tips as we head into the winter months.
