Collective Bargaining
С»ÆƬÊÓƵ has collective bargaining agreements with the С»ÆƬÊÓƵ Chapter of the American Association of University Professors (AAUP-KSU) and the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME).
Compensation/Pay
The Compensation unit of HR is responsible for the management of pay policies and programs for all university employees except faculty.

Employee & Labor Relations
Employee Relations works with managers and employees to enhance the working environment for С»ÆƬÊÓƵ employees. Labor Relations oversees all aspects of labor relations activities for AFSCME-represented employees at С»ÆƬÊÓƵ.
Employment Verification
С»ÆƬÊÓƵ uses Experian Verify to help us better manage employment, salary and Public Service Loan Forgiveness verifications for our employees.
Flexible Work Arrangements
Flexible work arrangements (FWA) at С»ÆƬÊÓƵ are designed to support work/life balance for employees and are to be used for related purposes, including, but not limited to, participation in university-sponsored wellness activities/events, physical activity, child care, professional development, and to more effectively perform daily job responsibilities.
Leave (Paid and Unpaid)
С»ÆƬÊÓƵ policy provides for various types of unpaid and paid leave for eligible employees as outlined in Chapter 6 of the Policy Register.

Telecommuting
The university has developed and finalized a telecommuting policy for employees, С»ÆƬÊÓƵ’s administrative policy on telecommuting. This policy applies to eligible full-time unclassified employees and full-time, non-represented classified employees on all С»ÆƬÊÓƵ campuses.
Title IX
Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 is a federal law that prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex in education programs or activities operated by recipients of federal financial assistance (such as С»ÆƬÊÓƵ).
Tuition Waiver
Full-time employees and part-time hourly or unclassified administrative staff who have completed the waiting period from their date of hire may apply for the tuition waiver benefit.
University Policy Register
The University Policy Register is a compilation of the official university, administrative and operational policies of С»ÆƬÊÓƵ. The purpose of this online register is to serve the university community as a source of reliable information and as a foundation on which decisions can be made.
