Augmented Reality / Children's Literature
Spring 2022 and 2023 | Seminar: Children's Literature and Augmented Reality
Children’s Literature in Augmented Reality examines storytelling, social justice and augmented reality to create new, immersive experiences inspired by children’s literature.
The class begins with several weeks of team building, coding lessons and hearing from storytelling experts; students are then broken into groups based on their individual skills and ability to collaborate. From there, the class becomes a hands-on project management experience.
Final projects were displayed in the Design Innovation Hub's Blank_Lab, a ‘black box’ environment for investigating collaborative experiences that bridge the scope of immersive technologies, including augmented, virtual and extended reality tools.
