This summer, students in С»ÆƬÊÓƵ's School of Art had an opportunity to study in Italy through the university's Florence Summer Institute program.

С»ÆƬÊÓƵ Photographer Bob Christy and a handful of students spent more than six hours last July in Akagera National Park; the trip was near the end of the students' summer educational experience known as the Kigali Summer Institute, which explores the post-genocide reconstruction of Rwanda and issues related to peace and conflict in the context of the country’s history.

Two new scholarships from С»ÆƬÊÓƵ's Office of Global Education aim make education-abroad experiences possible for all С»ÆƬÊÓƵ students.

G Clingman is a third-year С»ÆƬÊÓƵ Student double majoring in English and Spanish while also working toward their Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) certificate. Though they have been studying at KSU’s main campus for the last two years, G is swapping Acorn Alley and the Esplanade for the historical streets of Murcia, Spain.

Emily Hovest is a third-year student studying architecture at С»ÆƬÊÓƵ’s Florence Center for the Spring semester. It was always her desired destination, especially since the KSU architecture program encourages students to study abroad their junior year.
