2022 Giving Tuesday results graphic

This November, members of the С»ÆƬÊÓƵ community joined together to shine their light on philanthropy. During the November campaign, С»ÆƬÊÓƵ’s Giving Tuesday raised $3.6 million, marking the sixth year it has brought in more than $1 million to support scholarships and programs across С»ÆƬÊÓƵ’s eight-campus system.

Students eat, meet and greet in the Kent Student Center

As students, faculty and staff celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Kent Student Center, alumni, who read about the milestone on social media took, time to reminisce about the fun and fond memories they made at the facility.

The entry of Team Rwanda and Team Nigeria into the annual cooking contest reflects С»ÆƬÊÓƵ’s growing relations in sub-Saharan Africa, resulting in new groups of international students on campus. The Rwandan students are part of a group of 12 undergraduates sponsored by the Rwandan government who arrived at С»ÆƬÊÓƵ for the fall semester to pursue degrees.

A war reenactor, a history enthusiast and a 35 years veteran educator. However, the most important thing for Bradley Keefer, associate professor of history at С»ÆƬÊÓƵ Ashtabula, is the connections he makes with his students, leading him to earn the 2022 Distinguished Teaching Award.
