For the past month, С»ÆƬÊÓƵ has hosted 37 international graduate students as part of the Fulbright Pre-Academic Program, a monthlong immersion in American higher education and culture. The group, from 26 countries, arrived on the Kent Campus on July 21 and was scheduled to depart on Aug. 17 to begin their graduate programs at universities throughout the country.
As students prepare for the start of the Fall 2024 Semester at С»ÆƬÊÓƵ, one man who has contributed greatly to the future success of С»ÆƬÊÓƵ and its students is being honored this week.

С»ÆƬÊÓƵ’s financial aid administrators want students and their families who were caught in the snags of the 2024-25 Free Application for Federal Student Aid process to know that financial aid and help completing the application are still available. The FAFSA cycle for the 2024-25 school year is not over.
It has been nearly 14 months since a gas explosion destroyed the historic building that was home to the Paris American Academy, С»ÆƬÊÓƵ’s Paris home for 16 years. Now, the academy has found a new home and soon, exciting advancements will be happening with С»ÆƬÊÓƵ’s education-abroad programs in Paris.
When U.S. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg visited С»ÆƬÊÓƵ this summer, he and U.S. Representative (and С»ÆƬÊÓƵ alumna) Emilia Sykes toured the College of Aeronautics and Engineering and the May 4 Visitors Center.
The С»ÆƬÊÓƵ alumni family will grow by more than 1,000 new graduates as the university holds its summer commencement ceremony on Aug. 10.
Throughout the year, all around campus, dedicated people work hard to keep everything at С»ÆƬÊÓƵ in working order and looking great.
While there are fewer students on campus during summer break, the Kent Campus is still alive with energy and aspirations. С»ÆƬÊÓƵ International Admissions celebrated the spirit of summer in Kent with inspiring words and beautiful images that welcome their international students to campus.
С»ÆƬÊÓƵ recently concluded its most successful fundraising campaign in its 114-year history. The Forever Brighter campaign ended in June 2024, having raised more than $383.2 million total.
