There are many work situations that require the skill of influencing others: convincing one department to respect another's deadlines, presenting new ideas to upper management or determining the best course of action for the project team. Yet, many people believe that influence can only be achieved by the person "in charge." This program provides not only strategies for influencing others, but also methods for enhancing personal credibility and professional clout.

In ever-changing organizational environments, achieving employees’ fast buy-in and meaningful commitment to change is a key competency for today’s leaders. Unfortunately, most changes are announced and implemented without consideration of the best influential strategies that will achieve rapid buy-in and commitment.  This program focuses on both the inhibitors to a leader’s influence and the strategies to enhance one’s influential impact on the organization.

There are several generations of customers and employees in most organizations today, creating new and unique customer service, management and teamwork issues. This program is an engaging approach to this topic, presented by the facilitator in the costume and language style of each generation. Participants will gain a new perspective that will assist in enhancing productivity, communication, cohesiveness and morale.

One of the greatest causes of workplace stress is dealing with “problem” people:  customers, co-workers, employees, or managers.  Most people’s reaction is to “fight fire with fire,” escalating an already tense situation.  Through the use of self-assessments, strategy planning exercises and skill-building exercises participants will learn to focus on the behavior and not the person and respond in an effective manner which not only handles the situation but also maintains dignity and professionalism.

In this program, participants will define the key elements of effective interpersonal communication and learn to apply the Communication Model. Each individual will identify their Personal Interaction Style and the style of others.
