The National Science Foundation (NSF) has awarded the С»ÆƬÊÓƵ Scholarships for Broadening Participation in the Sciences Program with funding to annually provide 21 scholarships of $5,000 each for undergraduate students. The School of Visual Communication Design recently welcomed Daphne Firos to its faculty. Firos, whose background is in both architecture and graphic design, will teach students three-dimensional "form building and the integration of type and image in projects that range from packaging to environmental graphics."
