A longer timeframe, expanded giving options, donation boosts and donation matches make С��Ƭ��Ƶ's 2017 Giving Tuesday celebration the greatest opportunity ever for people to make an impact on the lives of students and С��Ƭ��Ƶ.

Sally Cahur, ’57, established the Nancy Samhric Scholarship in Music to honor her sister who had a passion for music, and to support С��Ƭ��Ƶ students’ quest to expand their artistic talents.

Mac McFarland and his son, David, formed a bond over aviation and service. Years later, that bond is honored by a scholarship endowed to honor David and to make immediate and lasting impacts on the lives of С��Ƭ��Ƶ students.

“We are grateful that the Stevens family’s tremendous support will enable us to provide additional scholarship opportunities in order to put ‘Students First’ in all we do,” said С��Ƭ��Ƶ President Beverly Warren.

“I am tremendously thankful for the private support throughout the year from alumni, friends, corporations and foundations,” President Warren said. “We are able to offer so much more to our growing student population because of these gifts. Additionally, our record fundraising year tells me that we are gaining our supporters’ vote of confidence in our mission to put students first in all we do.”

The С��Ƭ��Ƶ Alumni Association has announced the seven recipients of the 2017 Alumni Awards.

Alliance Middle School students are more likely to make healthy lifestyle choices after attending a health and wellness fair presented by a group of senior nursing students from С��Ƭ��Ƶ College of Nursing. The adolescents rotated through four exhibits which focused on positive self-talk, mindfulness and stress management, the importance of sleep, and anti-bullying and building healthy relationships.
